Horseback Riding

Horseback Riding in Tahoe

Horseback riding is a very scenic and relaxing thing to partake in during your stay at Lake Tahoe.  Northstar-at-Tahoe is the closest place to Kings Beach that offers horseback riding, and is usually open yearly, during the summer months.  However, Northstar’s horseback riding program will not be offered this year (2008), so your next best bet is to visit the Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center in Truckee (530-587-9470).

Visit www.ranchoredrock.com for information on places to go horseback riding in Lake Tahoe.

Rafting

The best place to begin your rafting journey in Lake Tahoe is in Tahoe City, where Truckee River Rafting has a station set up to rent out rafts and various rafting gear for your afternoon float down the Truckee River.  Open during the months of June through September, the Truckee River Raft Company is the most renowned place to begin your journey, as it’s the ideal spot to drop into the river, where there are little to no rapids and the water is calm and level.  Everyone who works at the TRRC is incredibly helpful, so feel free to call (530) 583-0123 with any questions you might have on rafting and the Truckee River.

Kingswood Village Properties

Kingswood Village offers a variety of vacation rentals, and they all come completely furnished. There are three different types of vacation rental homes, including a 1-bedroom with a loft, which sleeps four to six; a 2-bedroom with a loft that sleeps up to eight; and a 3-bedroom with a loft that comfortably sleeps up to ten.

All the properties, regardless of size, have three levels. When you walk in, you’ll be on the bottom level, which is where the laundry facilities and bedrooms and a bathroom will be. You’ll then walk up a flight of stairs which will lead you to the middle level, which hosts the kitchen, living room, balcony, dining room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. And up the windy stairs, you will find your loft, which is a cute and comfortable area with beds and in most cases, a television.

Each unit has either a gas or wood-burning fireplace, and comes equipped with all of your basic at-home accommodations, including a washer and dryer, a television, VCR, and DVD, a toaster, a stove, an oven, a refrigerator and freezer, a coffee maker, and a dishwasher. Basically anything you’d find at your very own home.

The Kingswood Village condos have very comfortable sleeping accommodations, with great pillows, extra blankets in all closets of varying weight and warmth, and patio furniture on the balcony for hanging out outside.

When relaxing on your balcony, you’ll find it’s very private, and surrounded by large trees, and the serenity of being in the heart of Lake Tahoe. The master bedrooms all have their own private balconies.

The decorations of each unit just depends on the owner, but each unit is tasteful and homey, offering a specific Lake Tahoe vibe, with pictures of people skiing, portraits of animals in nature, and other things you’d expect to find hanging on the wall of any cabin.

When staying at Kingswood Village, we want you to be happy, comfortable, and content. Therefore, we provide each of our renters with a variety of things to make your stay more pleasant, including soaps, shampoos, clean sheets and towels, a bottle of wine and wine opener to toast your vacation, and a carrying bag full of random goodies.
